Who I am

Vanity Fur is a Mobile Dog Grooming business. All grooming services are offered with an emphasis on personalised and compassionate care of your dogs.

The service is offered to all areas of the Island and I take pride in ensuring that my clients are happy with the end result.

Data Protection is taken very seriously and when you contact me through the website, via email, Facebook or directly, the information is collected simply to enable me to get in contact with you but also to keep a record of your dog’s visits.

I will never sell or give your number to anyone for marketing purposes.

What Data is Collected

I use your contact details (name, address, email, phone numbers), records of your pet(s) and their visits, and communications.

I use this information to

• provide you with the best possible service

• send you marketing messages

• share your information with third parties as necessary and required by law

I may also need to use your personal information for the prevention of fraud or for debt recovery.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in a paper based system in the form of record cards.

Data retention

I only keep your personal information as long as is required to provide the services you require. I will keep records for a period of 7 years after the last time I see your pet.

Your rights

As an individual you have eight rights relating to your personal information. These are the:

• Right to be informed. I must keep you informed about how I use and process your personal information. I do that using this privacy notice, which is available on the website and in printed form on request.

• Right of access. You can ask for a copy of the information I hold about you. I must provide this information within one month.

• Right to rectification. You can ask to update or correct your personal information to make sure it is accurate.

• Right of erasure (“the right to be forgotten”). You can ask to erase all personal information I hold about you where it is no longer needed for the original purpose.

• Right to restrict processing. You can ask to restrict how I use your personal information

• Right to data portability. For personal information you have provided to me, you can ask me to provide it to you electronically so you can use it elsewhere.

• Right to object to me using your personal information.

• Right not to be subject to automated decision making. where your personal information is being used in a computerised model to make decisions. Vanity Fur does not undertake such processes.
